DesignInquiry Futurespective update
Hello Futurespector!
Thank you for engaging the possibilities of DesignInquiry’s Futurespective exhibition. Welcome!
This is a follow-up to let you know we received your message and/or form submission. Here's the latest:
DESIGNINQUIRY FUTURESPECTIVE
September 20-November 4, 2019
Institute of Contemporary Art at Maine College of Art
DesignInquiry: Futurespective installs a series of works, and hosts scheduled and spontaneous events that observe and document DesignInquiry over the last decade-plus. The exhibition welcomes your participation in gatherings, remote and in situ collaborations, representations of projects, exhibitions, publications, and presentations you’ve been involved with then, now, and tomorrow to generate new work and ideas around DesignInquiry’s 18 and counting topics.

NOT-THE-READING ROOM CONTRIBUTIONS (January 5, 2019)
Publications—books and catalogues, offprints or print outs—to be included in the Futurespective library. Any and all publications are welcome, whether or not they are a direct outcome of your participation in a DesignInquiry gathering. And/or send copies of publications that have influenced your thinking/making practice—authentically or aspirationally—for inclusion in the Futurspective library.
All publications will be on display in the exhibition’s “Not The Reading Room” where visitors can scan or peruse them as they desire. These publications will not be returned to you unless you forward postage or can retrieve them in November 2019 when the exhibition closes. Publications that are not retrieved will be donated to the MECA library.

STAY IN TOUCH
With about 100 DesignInquirers participating in Futurespective, the curatorial team is working to figure out the best way to stay in touch. Here’s what we have so far:
DI’s futurespective inbox: futurespective@designinquiry.net
You are now on a special Futurespective Mailchimp list (kindly check your promotions folders to make sure you receive these messages).
Futurespective Dropbox is here.
The Participant List is a roster of people involved in the exhibition and events (perpetually updated). If you don’t spot fellow DI-ers from the gathering you attended and you think they might be interested in participating, please give them a nudge.
A Futurespective Website will come online at some point very soon and we’ll share the link.
Thoughts? Questions?
best wishes,
